Mass Effect 3_ Asari _ Fire Butterflies

Why not just "fireflies"?  Still an apparent misapplication of the name of a cute, harmless magical-looking bug to an agent of indiscriminate death.

The gear looks WAY to garagey and complicated, though.  Ever seen or used a real flamethrower?  If you're adding technological complexity, it should make the system more robust, not show all the potential places you can make it go "pow" and take out a user.

She probably ought to be dispensing (launching) blobs of Napalm-like stuff that ignite on impact, and move quickly out of range.  Larger muzzle, perhaps.

I'd also suggest letting her float with a self-generated Lift field, boosted with an eezo FlyPack.  Nozzles and igniters could be on forearms and thighs (you can't really aim with your lower legs when they'd effectively aim behind and up.)

Is this just graphite?  Or is there some charcoal here?  Very adroit use of the medium to show volume, and a rework of this could add definition to materials, too; chrome some bits, carbon some others, give that carry strap a texture like webbing.  Also remember that gloss and highlights call unwanted attention in combat.

The asari herself is gorgeous.  Yum.
